China is giving $70 million US Dollars for infrastructure development

China is giving 70.25 million and 70 thousand US Dollars to the infrastructure development of Bangladesh.

According to the current exchange rate, the amount of money in Bangladeshi currency is about 609.58 million taka. This money will be spent on the development of a communication system including disaster management and bridge construction.

The Chinese government signed an agreement with the Economic Relations Division (ERD) on Sunday. ERD Secretary Monowar Ahmed and Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka Zhang Zu signed the agreement on their behalf.

The ERD secretary said at a ceremony in the conference room of CPTU Bhaban of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, “The Memorandum of Understanding signed for 27 projects during the Chinese President’s visit was signed. But so far only five projects have been signed for the final loan agreement.

It was informed that eight bridges (Bangladesh-China Friendships) were built in addition to a Chinese-funded International Conference Center (Bangabandhu International Conference Center) in Bangladesh.

They also provide scanners for agricultural machinery, hybrid rice technology support, medical equipment, dredgers and customs.

The ongoing project for Chinese donation in Bangladesh is to build a Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal, a burning unit for Chittagong Medical College and a motorcycle supply for fire service.
